Asbestos Testing

Testing Procedure

Suffolk Asbestos Solutions provides testing of materials for the presence of asbestos for both commercial and domestic clients. The procedure for testing for asbestos containing materials is also commonly referred to asbestos sampling or asbestos bulk sampling. Upon attending your property, one of our fully trained BOSH or RSPH certified asbestos surveyors will safely remove a small sample of the suspected material in accordance with HSG 248 ‘The Analysts’ guide for sampling. To ensure high standards of testing and impartiality, samples will be analysed at an independent UKAS accredited laboratory to prevent any conflict of interest.

What Will The Report Give Me?

Upon completion of the asbestos re-inspection report, we will:

  • Provide you with an updated record of condition of any degradation or damage to asbestos containing materials

  • Assess your current asbestos documentation and identify any issues or gaps in the report and advise you of any findings.

  • Review control measures you may have in place.

  • Review your existing documents and asbestos management plan.
