Asbestos Re-inspection Survey

Why It's Needed

Following the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, if a previous asbestos survey (asbestos management survey) identifies asbestos to be present in your property, you have a legal duty to have the condition of all the asbestos inspected to ensure no damage or deterioration of the material has occurred since the last re-inspection or survey (asbestos management survey). As an asbestos containing material degrades or if it has been damaged, it is more likely to become a hazard to the health of individuals using the building.

How Often To Carry Out An Asbestos Re- Inspection

The frequency of re-inspection’s must not be longer than 12 months, but depending on the nature of risk posed, type, location and condition of the asbestos containing material(s), a more frequent inspection regime may be required.

What Will The Report Give Me?

Upon completion of the asbestos re-inspection report, we will:

  • Provide you with an updated record of condition of any degradation or damage to asbestos containing materials

  • Assess your current asbestos documentation and identify any issues or gaps in the report and advise you of any findings.

  • Review control measures you may have in place.

  • Review your existing documents and asbestos management plan.
